When the world thinks about natural disasters, they are often thinking on a large scale: Hurricane Katrina, the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the Joplin tornados, wildfires spreading across state lines, and the like. In reality, however, those are a very small fraction of the disasters that happen almost daily around the world.
This month marks a full year since I left the world of TV news behind and picked up the R&R torch. So, this year’s 2016 International Restoration Convention & Industry Expo in Orlando several weeks ago really felt like things coming full circle for me.
I get looks from people when I tell them that because, let’s face it, the image of Detroit isn’t a friendly one in the eyes of most people, and news headlines don't help.
