The Contractor Connection Conference & Expo has experienced a bit of bad luck lately. In 2012, an explosion in the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center just outside of Nashville on the eve of the show’s kick-off forced the cancellation of the expo hall portion of the show. In 2010, the event had to be rescheduled to Washington D.C. after the river flooded out the Opryland resort hotel.
So this year, with it being in San Antonio, Contractor Connection was due for a break, right?
Arguably, it caught a huge break this year, as about 10 inches of rain fell around San Antonio on Saturday, May 25, two days after the show dispersed. Reports all indicate that most of downtown was spared from the rain’s impact, yet the area flooding could have made getting into and out of town a struggle.
So let’s all be thankful that the event went off without a hitch this year, as it was a terrific couple of days in Texas.
