Select Academy, the Montreal, Quebec specialized cleaning school for disaster restoration and cleaning, will introduce a 2,000 square foot flood house on September 11, 2012, according to a press release.
Programs have been around since the 1990’s and there has certainly been a lot of discussion as to the good points and the, well, not so good points that pertain to them.
Flood houses are structures that are built so they can be purposefully flooded with water in order to train water restoration technicians and insurance professionals.
There have been rumors about many changes in the IICRC, along with a lot of speculation about the reasons behind these changes. Much of the speculation is not accurate or correct.
