In this final part, we focus on the crucial steps of getting paid. We go over how to create a proper invoice, ensuring it includes all necessary details to expedite the payment process. Before starting any work, make sure your initial estimates are thorough and signed off, as this is a requirement in some states. Another critical factor is understanding the requirements, such as obtaining additional insurance, using the correct contract work agreement and ensuring your paperwork is accurate and legal. One of the most common mistakes is delaying billing until you're well into the work. Billing should be done in real-time, daily updates are essential!
