RIA Prepares for 2016 Certified Restorer Induction Ceremony
Ceremony will be part of RIA's 70th Anniversary Celebration in March
February 1, 2016
The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) will be celebrating its 70th Anniversary Convention March 21-23 at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, Fla.
A highlight of RIA conventions has been the annual induction ceremony of RIA advanced certification candidates who have completed all program requirements for the Certified Restorer (CR), Water Loss Specialist (WLS) and Certified Mold Professional (CMP) designations.
Many of this year’s CR inductees attended last fall’s Certified Restorer Prep Week from Nov. 2-7, hosted by longtime RIA member Jon Don at their corporate headquarters training center in the Greater Chicago area.
The successful candidate must first meet rigorous prerequisite requirements before attending the six-day prep course which includes the CR certification exam.
After passing with a score of 80 percent or higher, the candidate must complete a formal report that goes through a peer review process before they receive their CR credentials.
RIA recognizes its newly minted certificates annually in front of their peers and fellow members at the annual convention.
