The National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors (NORMI) provides free classes with Florida continuing education credits to its active members every Wednesday at 12:45 pm EST in a live, online format. These free CEU courses are available to active members from November 2021 to March 2022. They give Florida-licensed mold assessors and remediators the ability to complete the 14 CEUs required every two years by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) Mold Related Services Board. These free NORMI CEU classes are DBPR-approved courses. Mandatory completion of the biennially required 14 CEUs is July 31, 2022.
NORMI free CEU courses include the following: Mold Licensing Law, Assessment Best Practices, Remediation Best Practices, Mold Health Concerns, Protecting the Public, Mold Protocol Writer, Assessment Report Writing, Remediation Processes, and Guidelines and SOP. The length of the course determines the number of continuing education credits assigned to each class. In addition to existing NORMI members having access to these free CEU courses, new members also have access to them. There is no waiting period to gain access to the free CEU courses once a professional becomes a member of the trade group.
