New Leadership
The RIA board of directors elected four members to serve as the association’s 2017-18 at-large directors for three-year terms: Joseph Gillette of Complete Restoration Solutions, Josh Miller of Signal Restoration Services, Craig Powers of COIT Services, and Kent Rawhouser of A&J Specialty Services, Inc.
Lee King of AFTERDISASTER was selected as First Vice President, and Mark Springer of Dayspring Restoration was selected as Vice President. Jaclyn Carpenter of Ideal Restoration will serve as Secretary, and Jack White of Rainbow International was selected to be Treasurer.
RIA’s bylaws prescribe that the President appoint one representative from each RIA council to serve a one-year term on the board. President Chuck Violand reappointed the existing board members from four of the councils while naming Jay Van Deusen of Rainbow International as the board representative from the Contents Council.
RIA Selects New Executive Director
The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) selected Christopher Mundschenk as executive director of the association, effective February 1, 2017. He succeeds Marc Selvitelli, who served as executive director since 2014.
Mundschenk brings extensive knowledge and nearly 20 years of experience in association management to RIA. Chris has worked with a wide-variety of trade associations, specifically serving manufacturers, distributors and contractors within wallcovering, building material and building service contracting industries.
