Rainbow International recently announced winners of two major awards within the franchise network.
Excellence in Mentoring & Woman of the Year
Rich Roberts, owner of Rainbow International of Abington-Warrington, received the Rainbow International Excellence in Mentoring Award, and team member, Jen Roberts, received the Woman of the Year Award at the 2016 Dwyer Group International Conference held Sept. 11-14 in San Antonio, Texas.
The Excellence in Mentoring Award is presented to a franchise owner who is proactive in seeking ways to mentor and assist other franchisees in the development of their business and expertise.
“To be a mentor is a great undertaking. We celebrate Rich’s pledge to serving others, and we are encouraged by his professional conduct. His business is a great asset to the Rainbow team,” said Mark Welstead, president of Rainbow International.
Each year, one standout female franchise owner is awarded the designation of Woman of the Year by consistently setting an example for other franchisees through continuous efforts to strengthen and support her franchise.
“Jen is a true asset to our team,” said Roberts, who nominated her for the honor. “She works diligently and positively, always with others in mind.”
Rainbow International, a subsidiary of the Dwyer Group, is active in the promotion and support of advancing the careers of women in male-dominated trade and service professions.
“Woman of the Year is a unique distinction for a female who has encouraged her coworkers, male and female alike, to thrive in the service industry,” stated Welstead. “We love watching the Rainbow brand grow, especially with more women contributing to it success.”
“This award is an honor to receive, both as a female and a working professional,” said Jen Roberts. “I love my job and I hope to inspire women to become leaders in their businesses and communities.”
Rookie of the Year
Greg Daniels, Jeff Dowdle and Brian Boles, owners of Rainbow International of Greenville-Terrell, received the Rainbow International Rookie of the Year Award at the 2016 Dwyer Group International Conference.
This Rookie of the Year award is presented to the franchise that, in the first 12 months, has demonstrated outstanding performance in sales and building of the organization.
“New franchisees bring so much to the business: new ideas, new passion and new employees who personify our Code of Values,” remarked Welstead. “Every new franchise is an opportunity to grow the Rainbow team, and we’re glad to have Greg, Jeff and Brian on board.”
“Being a new business in the service industry can be challenging,” said Daniels. “However, Rainbow International prepared us with the tools and resources to be successful. We owe this award to our enthusiastic team who helped us accomplish a great deal in our first year.”
