This was an Ask Annissa video column in the fall of 2016. Her advice still rings very true today as we prepare for Hurricane Florence!
This week, Annissa has an extremely timely video column as we await Hurricane Matthew's arrival in the U.S. She is talking about preparing to respond to CAT loss situations. There are obviously a lot of logistics to cover, and you have to be ready to work nearly around-the-clock for days on end.
Some things to think about:
- Ability to respond quickly
- Resources may be very limited
- Do you have enough equipment?
- Food, water, shelter
- Getting paid (there is a LOT to this element! Billing, accepting payments, insurance checks, etc.)
- Crew
Check out this week's columns to help build your CAT loss response success.
