Restoration Companies Poised to Help Fort McMurray Fix Fire Damage 

Construction workers and cleanup companies are trickling into Fort McMurray along with its first returning residents as a rebuilding process begins in the northern Alberta community devastated by out-of-control wildfires.

On May 12, 2016, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued its final rule requiring certain employers to electronically submit injury and illness data and engage in other actions that promote accurate employee reporting of workplace injuries and illnesses.

President Barack Obama has declared a major disaster in 12 Texas counties throughout the state that suffered severe flooding last month during heavy rainfall. The declaration, approved on Saturday, covers Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Fort Bend, Grimes, Hidalgo, Hood, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Travis, Waller, and Washington counties.

LSU Student Health Center to Remain Closed Monday after Fire

On Thursday, June 9, the Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to a call at the LSU Student Health Center. While the fire was placed under control, the building still sustained damage. According to preliminary estimates, $1.7 million worth of damage was done to the facility. And while the cause of the fire is still under investigation, restoration and cleanup efforts are already underway.
