A call for papers, presentations and workshops has been announced for the 2017 Indoor Air Quality Association’s (IAQA) 20th Annual Meeting.
The Meeting takes place Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2017, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nev. Also taking place at that time is the AHR Expo, Jan. 30-Feb. 1, Las Vegas Convention Center. IAQA is an endorsing association of the expo.
 
Presentations are sought on:

  • Building science and materials
  • Business management
  • Emerging issues
  • Filtration and particles
  • Foundations for the IAQ professional
  • Government affairs
  • Healthy homes
  • IAQ around the world
  • Mold and microbes
  • Occupational IAQ
  • Sampling
  • IAQ assessment strategies
  • Moisture measurement in materials
  • Interpretation of laboratory analytical results
  • Principles of developing a sample strategy
  • Methods and best practices for IAQ contractors
Those interested in giving technical presentations should submit an abstract no more than 400 words in length, which includes the presentation title, a brief description of its contents and references cited. Submittals must also include the speaker’s biography. Presentation times are 60 minutes in length. Presentations must be strictly non-commercial.
 
In addition, IAQA is seeking abstract submittals for training workshops for the Meeting. Workshops, which are four to eight hours in length, provide advanced training in the theory and practice of a topic relevant to indoor air quality, including HVAC and building science. Proposals will be considered for basic and advanced workshops, though there is a preference for advanced workshops. Proposals should include a statement of need, specific learning objectives and an outline of the subject material.
 
The deadline for presentation and workshop submissions is June 1. Potential speakers will be notified by Aug. 1. Complimentary or discounted registration will be provided to speakers.
