Crawford Contractor Connection has hired Navy veteran Natasha Bull to fill the newly created position of project manager, a role designed to lead project execution, review existing processes and implement continuing process improvement.
Contractor Connection is an ongoing supporter of those who have served in the United States Armed Forces, and more than 10 percent of its current staff is comprised of military veterans. The Contractor Connection network of 4,800 contractors across the United States has been challenged to hire a total of one thousand U.S. military veterans between October 2014 and October 2015.
In her role, Bull will focus on creating project charters and goals, while helping Contractor Connection’s management team and supervisors achieve those objectives in areas such as customer service, contractor management, performance measurement and quality control. Based in the company’s Jacksonville headquarters, Bull will report to Lance Malcolm, chief operating officer of Contractor Connection.
“We are excited to have Natasha join our team,” Malcolm said. “The experience, passion, knowledge, skills and abilities that she brings will support the ongoing and accelerating growth and success of Contractor Connection.”
Bull brings with her nearly 10 years of experience as a project manager, accompanied by a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Villanova University. Since 2009, she worked as the only project manager for the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, which has approximately 600 employees. Bull reviewed processes and made adjustments for the center, getting rid of waste and improving overall processes.
Prior to that, Bull received a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma from NOVACES, a firm dedicated to improving the operational performance of government, military, and business. She later became the project manager for Naval Aviation Enterprise, a partnership that promotes communication and cross-competency cooperation among the Navy’s aviation forces. Earlier in her career Bull was a parachute rigger in the military for 13 years.
Contractor Connection, an industry leader in contractor managed repair and home improvement services, provides insurance carriers and consumers a national network of residential and commercial contractors that are vetted and managed for performance, measuring quality, timeliness and customer satisfaction.
