The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) International Restoration Convention & Industry Expo is returning to Las Vegas, where its 70th-annual convention will be held from May 6-8 at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino.
“I believe International Restoration Convention and Industry Expo attendees will find the Rio layout to be ideal for everything they seek from a convention,” says Marc Selvitelli, RIA Executive Director. “The convention layout is compact - attendees can seamlessly transition from the expo floor to education sessions to networking events.”
Similar to all RIA conventions, there will be the exhibit hall. Additionally, informative breakout sessions are scheduled to help restoration professionals with some of the pressing issues in the industry today. The convention will feature informational sessions on silica in restoration, the EPA’s new lead paint rule and new, innovative technology in restoration, just to name a few. As Selvitelli puts it, professionals are unlikely to find educational sessions of such quality at other events where restoration is only part of the event.
New to this year’s event is its co-location with the IICRCA, which is hosting its inaugural IICRCA Event trade show in conjunction.
“We believe attendees will benefit from having a greater pool of restoration professionals to network with as well as exposure to a wider array of products and services available to the restoration and cleaning industries,” Selvitelli says. “With both shows at one location, it is reasonable to expect well over 1,000 attendees walking the show floors.”
Additionally, the RIA is setting aside time for new RIA members and first-time convention attendees to meet with RIA leadership to learn more about RIA membership and the convention itself.
