The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) is launching the “Safe Harbor Initiative,” which will discuss the “Safe Harbor” clause that was created exclusively for RIA members as a result of the patent lawsuit settlement between the RIA and ThermaPure, Inc. The Initiative will be formerly kicked off on October 28.

The Safe Harbor clause ensures RIA members receive immediate and automatic benefit from the terms of the settlement, while non-member restoration contractors receive benefits effective the date they join the association. The lawsuit was settled in July.
