Crawford & Company and Contractor Connection joined Nationwide Insurance Group and other corporate sponsors for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship charity golf event in Columbus, Ohio, the week of September 8 to raise funds for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital, according to a press release.
Crawford Property & Casualty America CEO Kevin Frawley and Contractor Connection CEO Larry Thomas attended the event, which is in its eighth season on the Web.com Tour and is one of the four final professional golf season-ending events made up of a blended field of Professional Golfers Association and Web.com Tour players. A series of related fundraising events were held during the week of the tournament, raising a total estimated to be more than $1 million that will help fund future research and medical support for children.
“Contractor Connection and Crawford support a number of charities across the country, and are proud to contribute to The Nationwide Children’s Hospital and all that it is doing to help children,” Thomas said. “The Championship is a wonderful example of how professional sports and corporations can join together to help a very important cause.”
