The IICRC has opened nominations for the 2014-15 Board of Directors, according to a press release. Candidates eligible for nomination can be anyone actively engaged in the cleaning, restoration, inspection and allied or related industries. In addition to being able to dedicate time to IICRC-related activities, nominees should be active in and knowledgeable about the IICRC.
Submissions are due to the IICRC headquarters no later than August 1, 2014.
“We are always looking for new ideas and forward thinkers who can assist us in advancing the mission of the Institute,” said Tony Wheelwright, Chairman of the IICRC. “We have several exciting projects on the horizon, so it’s an exciting time to be involved with the organization.”
Once nominations are received, the IICRC Vetting Committee will thoroughly review each candidate and his/her qualifications. While all nominations will be reviewed and responded to, not all nominees will be deemed qualified or recommended by the Committee for election. Those deemed unqualified will be given notice of the decision and provided with an opportunity for response.
All nominees who meet the requisite requirements shall be eligible to receive votes, although the Vetting Committee will provide shareholders with recommendations. Any candidate contacted by the committee should be prepared to accept the nomination.
