Sean M. Burgess has joined the Restoration Sciences Academy training team as the lead Estimating class instructor, according to a press release.
As an Xactimate Affiliate Trainer (XAT), experienced field adjuster and estimator, Burgess has extensive knowledge of Xactimate’s estimating software, including advanced Sketch features. He brings more than 10 years of experience using Xactimate from both the insurer and contractor perspectives.
"When learning Xactimate, it's not unusual for someone to learn from a friend or coworker, and others may be self-taught,” notes Burgess. “There can be gaps in understanding features or workflows.” Sean's Xactimate classes for RSA are designed to fill those gaps by focusing on core Xactimate estimating skills and increasing knowledge and proficiency in writing more thorough and detailed estimates.
RSA’s Estimating courses (ES283, ES280) prepare students for Xactware Level 1 and Level 2 certification. Students achieving this level of certification have demonstrated mastery of key Xactimate concepts and can use more intermediate Xactimate procedures to increase efficiency, productivity and accuracy. Each course is also approved for two continuing education credits through the IICRC.
RSA’s Xactimate classes includes Estimating 280 (basic/intermediate, hands-on) and Estimating 283 (basic/intermediate, hands-on, live flood environment).
Sean Burgess is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He will be teaching the estimating courses at locations throughout the U.S.
