ICC Restoration & Cleaning Services, which serves the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin, is celebrating its 25th year in business this month, according to a press release.
Since the company’s inception in 1989, ICC has proudly restored over 10,000 properties and helped countless numbers of people get their lives back to normal. As a testament to their excellence in restoration, ICC Restoration & Cleaning Services has been awarded and acknowledged throughout their community and industry as leaders in their field throughout the years. This includes receiving the award of “Best Places to Work in Minnesota” several times and also being recently named one of 12 finalists for the 2013 Torch Awards for Ethics, presented by the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota.
The company was started and is still led today by President Tom Laska, who, at the age of 22, had only a few years of experience, but big dreams for the future and a strong vision of running a different kind of restoration company.
“I had seen how other contractors operated and the negative reputation most had,” said Laska. “They had this reputation mainly because they fulfilled the stereotype that many in our industry get labeled with--taking advantage of customers and the claims community through unscrupulous actions such as overestimating, overselling, inferior work, etc.
“I wanted ICC to break the stereotype of the typical contractor and to lead by example. That’s a big reason why we’re still in business 25 years later. But, we’ve also incorporated innovative business and marketing practices along the way that have helped us grow above and beyond what I envisioned 25 years ago, helping us to lead a company that has a mitigation-focused, full service, transparent and faster approach to restoration.”
