About 100 people in the cleaning and restoration industry came together in Las Vegas on Monday, January 27 to see the grand opening of the IICRC’s Global Resource Center, a 20,000 square foot piece of property located about 3.5 miles from the center of the Las Vegas strip.
The property, which was purchased by the Institute in July 2013, will now serve as the headquarters for the IICRC and its council of associations (IICRCA), according to Past Chairman, Executive Committee, Darrell Paulson. Administrative and management operations will remain at the Institute’s facilities in Vancouver, Washington.
The Global Resource Center has been a part of the IICRC’s long-range plan for the past decade, with the intention to make the facility a destination for those in the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry worldwide. While the building is the new IICRC and IICRCA headquarters, other potential uses for the building include learning centers, laboratories, small tradeshows, video production and an industry library or museum.
