County assesses facility damage from ice storms
Just when county offices have water damage from last week’s winter weather repaired, new forecasts for today have officials scrambling to stop another leak before it happens.
The entire annex building had been flooded, County Facilities Manager Danny Brumley said Tuesday afternoon. Carpet, ceramic tile and drywall up to 4 feet from floor level had to be removed from the facility before work moved into the drying stages. The building was acquired by the county last year, but no personnel were working in it yet, he said. From the Denton Record-Chronicle.
