Columbia, MD – The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) is
still seeking entries for the 2011 Phoenix Awards for Innovation in Restoration
and Reconstruction.
The
competition is open to RIA member firms as well as non-member firms who are
active service providers in the restoration and remediation industry. To be
considered for eligibility, a project must be at least 90 percent complete by
December 2010. Projects must also involve personal or building property and
residential or commercial buildings in the areas of restoration and
reconstruction.
There is no minimum project size. Fees for
members are $300 for the first entry and $200 for each additional entry, and
for non-members, $500 for first entry and $400 for each additional entry. A
firm may submit up to two projects in each category.
The deadline is December 15, 2010, and all projects
and entry forms should be post-marked by this date. The winners will be announced
during the 66th Annual Convention and Exhibition being held from
March 7-11, 2011 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo.
“The Phoenix Awards illustrate
the best aspects of the restoration industry,” explained RIA’s Director of
Communications, Patricia Harman, who coordinates the competition. “The projects
entered are prime examples of the creativity, knowledge and ingenuity required
by restoration professionals on a daily basis.”
RIA
will be featuring some previous Phoenix Award winning projects during a session
at the convention in March.
