of Communications Manager, Barbara Roy, to its growing team of professionals.
Barbara brings to FRSTeam diverse communications
experience from start-ups as well as large corporations like eBay and
Cisco. With background in
publishing, gaming, entertainment, e-commerce and tech industries, Barbara
boasts a record of accomplishment in
communications strategy, project, team and vendor management,
content management, marketing, advertising, and public and media
relations.
Originally
from the Midwest, Barbara is no stranger to natural disasters and has survived
multiple tornados under some unusual circumstances, including a severe tornado
the day of a friend’s wedding. “I
had left the event but, from a safe vantage point, saw angry clouds forming
over the city. I knew it was going
to be a bad one and, being licensed in first aid and CPR, I went back to see if
I could help only to find the steeple blown off the church where I’d just being
singing at my friend’s wedding moments earlier. My friend, also a nurse, was in the street, still in her
wedding gown, helping others who were hurt,” shares Barbara.
Barbara will further FRSTeam’s communications
efforts by developing communications plans and delivery vehicles in cooperation
with sales, marketing and corporate; overseeing website development, publishing
and reporting; managing corporate and franchisee communications, content and collateral
development; and building relationships with the public and media.
