Glendale Heights, IL – October 9, 2008 -- The Moisture Control Services (MCS) division of Munters Corp. has received the Most Successful Newcomer Award from the Coalition for Government Procurement and the U.S. Government’s General Services Administration (GSA) as part of the 2008 Excellence in Partnership (EIP) Awards program.
The EIP Awards recognize people and organizations that have significantly contributed to the promotion and utilization of the GSA Schedules program. The Most Successful Newcomer honor is presented to a new contractor that has had significant gains in its schedule business and has made major contributions to the program overall. MCS Americas was selected as the winner over dozens of other firms.
The award will be presented to MCS, represented by David Richardson, national key account manager, at the 9th Annual EIP Awards Banquet attended by hundreds of federal government executives, contracting officers, and industry partners on Oct. 23 in Washington, D.C.
The Coalition for Government Procurement, the founding member of the EIP Awards, is an industry group that exists to educate its members and influence government policy. In addition, the Coalition provides support for dealing with the complexities and changing rules of selling to the federal government.
“It’s a great honor to receive this EIP Award and we are proud of our new partnership with the GSA,” said Richardson. “Since obtaining our GSA Schedule in October 2007, we have been busy pursuing opportunities to provide turnkey disaster restoration services to the federal government. To date, we have been contracted by The Environmental Protection Agency, the Social Security Administration, the City of Cedar Rapids, the Public Building Services, and the National Archives and Records Administration, among others.”
Munters recently received a contract to provide document restoration services to the National Archives and Records Administration as well as a Blanket Purchase Agreement to provide disaster restoration services to all National Archives and Records Administration facilities nationwide for the next four years.
Headquartered in Glendale Heights, Ill., MCS’ global division has the world’s largest fleet of portable humidity control equipment and offers complete services for water and fire damage restoration and remediation, and for temporary climate control in construction, industrial, surface preparation and coating as well as preservation applications.
